Our staff is trained and skilled, and we strive to provide energetic and fun-loving service to each patient. Each member of our treatment team and our office staff has years of experience in treating patients with the highest level of care. We strive to stay abreast of the latest technological advances by regularly attending the Alabama and American Dental Association, Academy of General Dentistry and the Hinman Dental annual meetings.
Kimberly Welden, DMD
Highly educated and well trained, Dr. Kimberly Welden has been providing her patients with exceptional comprehensive dental care for many years. A native of North Alabama, Dr. Welden graduated from Sparkman High School in 1999. After high school, she obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Biological Engineering from Mississippi State University in 2003. Dr. Welden went on to study dentistry at the University of Alabama in Birmingham, graduating in May 2008.
Dr. Welden feels it is important to stay on the cutting-edge of dentistry to offer the most advanced treatments. She holds memberships in many prestigious professional organizations to keep up-to-date on the latest techniques and technology. She is currently an active member of the American Dental Association, the Alabama Dental Association and the Academy of General Dentistry. Dr. Welden is a representative on the Alabama Dental Association’s Committee on the New Dentist, which focuses on helping dentists who have been out of school 10 years or less become more involved in organized dentistry. She has also served as an officer for our local Wilson Chenault Dental Study Club.
Dr. Welden lives with her husband, Wes Atkinson, in Decatur. He is an attorney who practices law in the Morgan County area. Together they share a deep commitment to serving their clients to the best of their professional abilities.
When not practicing, Dr. Welden and her husband enjoy taking advantage of all that Morgan County and Decatur have to offer, including the local cuisine, local wildlife retreats and the downtown area.
Brian G. Ondocsin, DMD
Dr. Brian G. Ondocsin is a native of Huntsville, AL and received his Honors Bachelors of Science degree in Biochemistry from the University of Alabama in Tuscaloosa. He then went on to receive his Doctor of Medical Dentistry degree from the University of Alabama at Birmingham where he graduated at the top of his class. He completed an advanced training General Practice Residency at Richland Memorial Hospital in Columbia, SC. At this residency, Dr. Ondocsin learned current techniques in oral surgery and implant dentistry, sedation dentistry, cosmetic dentistry, and complex case management. Dr. Ondocsin joined the practice in July 2013.
Dr. Ondocsin is a member of the American Dental Association, the Alabama Dental Association, the Academy of General Dentistry, and the Wilson-Chenault Dental Study Group. Dr. Ondocsin is also a member of the Eighth District Dental Society of Alabama.
Dr. Ondocsin moved to Southeast Decatur in the summer of 2013 where he resides with his wife Calley and son Luke. Calley is a native of Anniston, AL and also graduated from the University of Alabama. They have been married since June 2010.
